Studies in the Gospel of Mark on DVD Teacher - Clifford Bruffey Special Edition Clifford Bruffey was the very first teacher of the "Weeily Bible Study in ASL" Bible studies. He taught for almost 20 years until he died from Lou Gehrig disease in 2001. Since he was deaf himself he knew and understood the challenges that deaf people face in their everyday lives. The studies drew upon his years of experience and his deep love for the Lord and for deaf people. Because of this he was dearly loved. He also brought special Bible training that was needed having graduated from Gallaudet College where he later became the Baptist chaplain and from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.
There are two main sections to the 3 enclosed DVD's. First there is a 55 minute DVD entitled "Clips of Clifford Bruffey. These clips were gathered over a number of years and begin with him sharing his personal testimony and how he was called to preach the gospel. Also included on the DVD are clips from this tour of the Holy Land where he explains the sights in ASL. There are clips from his retirement at First Baptist Church in Alexandria, Virginia. Finally there are several clips of his memorial service service on his death which was held at Gallaudet College.
Recently his series of Bible studies from the Gospel of Mark were found intact in the library of video tapes at Multi-Media Evangelism. On 2 DVD's these 12 Bible studies that are 15 to 20 minutes each have been put in this 3 DVD set and are now just $35.00 including postage. The voice is that of Ray Bearden who reverse interpreted the Bible studie. Ray is now the teacher of the Weekly Bible Study in ASL. |
